Giuncàro
White Tocai, today renamed Friulano, according to local memory seems to have been present in the vineyards of Sarzana for about a hundred years. On our land we had two small plots of Tocai vines, which we had to grub up in the late 1990s because of their poor condition. But we wanted to preserve this small tradition and original presence, a testament to how well this grape had acclimatised to our land. While retaining its aromatic notes, the resulting wine shows a marked influence from our climate and closeness to the sea, taking on a rich minerality.
