Fontananera
Granaccia is the only grape with no tradition in our vineyards, yet it belongs to a continuity of many territories facing the sea that had, until now, left ours out — almost as if we had forgotten to include it among the many varied grapes of our tradition. It is found on the nearby Tuscan coast, in western Liguria, in the south of France and in Sardinia. We planted it in a strongly stony soil, hoping that its versatility might surprise us here too.

Granaccia - Vinification
The destemmed grapes go to ferment in open vats, where punching-down and pumping-over follow one another. As with any fermentation in the presence of skins, pressing off is decided according to the characteristics of the vintage. In autumn the wine is then transferred to clay jars, where it remains for about a year. Bottling generally takes place about a year and a half after harvest. - Location
The Granaccia comes from the gravelly alluvial plains of the Ghiarétolo vineyards. Planted in 2020. - Area
